The statues were made by International Fiberglass for the Yogi Bear's Honey Fried Chicken chain of restaraunts, which spanned the southeast form the late Sixties through the mid Seventies.

The statues were placed outside the restaurants as lure for hungry children who would demand that their parents stop so they could see Yogi.
